Divided into three subdivisions, Munger district has its own Municipal Corporation to operate in the administrative headquarters at Munger city. Sub-divisions namely Munger Sadar, Kharagpur & Tarapur are controlled by the Municipal Corporation and supervised by the District magistrate and collector assisted by Commissioner officials and staffs.
